Dekaanin ehdotus KTT Antti Talosen ottamisesta apulaisprofessorin (vakinaistamispolku Tenure Track), responsible business management and co-operatives, tehtävään: tiedekuntaneuvoston kuuleminen
Itä-Suomen yliopiston johtosäännön 10 §:n kohdan 9 mukaan dekaanin tehtävänä on tehdä ehdotus rehtorille kahdeksi vuodeksi tai sitä pidemmäksi ajaksi professorin tehtävään valittavasta ja opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön neliportaisen uramallin vakituiseen tehtävään sekä vakinaistamispolun tehtävään valittavasta tiedekuntaneuvostoa kuultuaan.

Apulaisprofessorin (vakinaistamispolku, Tenure Track), responsible business management and co-operatives, tehtävä on ollut haettavana 5.6.2023 päättyneenä hakuaikana. Tehtävää hakivat (22): Antti Talonen, Andres Camargo, Jerome Nikolai Warren, Subhanjan Sengupta, Daria Podmetina, Marja Turunen, Annukka Näyhä, Ville-Veikko Piispanen, Yi Zheng, Hui Han, Stylianos Papaioannou, Ameer Haider Ali, Mohamed Farhoud, Syed Ghulam Meran Shah, Rajinder Kaur, Bhavna Sharma, Bilar Anwar, Mahfooz Alam, Andrési Ruiz Serrano, Abdul Waheed Siyal, Mba Agwu ja Supriya Banerjee. Tehtäväkuvauksen mukaan:

The position of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of responsible business management and co-operatives is a Tenure Track position at the

UEF Business School at the University of Eastern Finland. The position will be hosted by the Business School at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies, more specifically by the field of orientation Modern Management. The position is located in Joensuu.

A successful candidate for the post will have:

1) A doctoral degree in business studies, or in some other, relevant field

2) Research and theoretical expertise in the areas responsible business management and co-operatives, such as social and solidarity economy and sustainability for example in the context of co-operatives and mutual organisations or in a related topics

3) A scientific publication record

4) Networks of collaboration and achievements in successful collaboration both with the field’s practitioners and with national and international researchers and research groups

5) Experience and good teaching skills

6) Experience in applying for research funding and in leading research and development projects

7) Management and interaction skills for leading teams, interdisciplinary research groups and networks

In the currently vacant position, the Tenure Track can be entered from the Assistant Professor or the Associate Professor level onwards. At the end of the term, the merits of the person will be evaluated to determine whether she or he can proceed to the next level of the Tenure Track, i.e. be promoted from an Assistant Professor to an Associate Professor or from an Associate Professor to a Full Professor without public notice of vacancy. The criteria, objectives, and results to be achieved during the term to proceed to the next level of the Tenure Track will be agreed on in detail with the appointee when signing the contract of employment.

Furthermore, a person to be appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Tenure Track must have the prerequisites for fulfilling the qualification requirements of an Associate Professor by the end of the Tenure Track term, and a person to be appointed as an Associate Professor in the Tenure Track must have the prerequisites for fulfilling the qualification requirements of a Professor by the end of the Tenure Track term (UEF University Regulations, Section 31).

The position will be filled for a fixed term of four years as from 1 January 2024 or as agreed. The position is filled for a fixed term due to it being a Tenure Track position.

Kyseisen tehtävän tehtäväntäyttötoimikunta (professori Saara Julkunen, pj., professori Juho Pesonen, professori Anu Puusa, dekaani Sari Rissanen, johtava hallintopäällikkö Marko Junkkarinen ja talous- ja henkilöstösuunnittelija Tuula Ranne) esittää yksimielisesti asiantuntijalausuntoihin sekä hakemusasiakirjoihin perustuen, että tehtävään otetaan KTT Antti Talonen.

Tehtäväntäyttötoimikunnan laatima valintamuistio on liitteenä. Lisäksi liitteenä ovat asiantuntijalausunnot (professori Tim Mazzarol, University of Western Australia ja professori Vesa Puhakka, Oulun yliopisto).

Tehtäväntäyttötoimikunnan puheenjohtaja on päätöksellään vapauttanut Talosen opetusnäytteen antamisesta, sillä hänen opetusansionsa käyvät ilmi hakemusasiakirjoista. KTT Antti Talonen täyttää johtosäännössä mainitut apulaisprofessorin palvelussuhteen ehdot ja tehtävämäärityksessä mainitut edellytykset.

Dekaanin ehdotus rehtorille on, että KTT Antti Talonen otetaan apulaisprofessorin (vakinaistamispolku, Tenure Track), responsible business management and co-operatives (tenure track), tehtävään neljän vuoden määräajaksi 1.3.2024 lukien tai sopimuksen mukaan. Määräaikaisuuden perusteena vakinaistamispolku, Tenure Track.

Esitys	Dekaani kuulee tiedekuntaneuvostoa ehdotuksesta KTT Antti Talosen ottamiseksi apulaisprofessorin (vakinaistamispolku, Tenure Track), responsible business management and co-operatives, tehtävään 1.3.2024 lukien tai sopimuksen mukaan.
